General Meeting Resolutions Follow-up
Dear Resident:
Please be reminded that the MAXIMUM speed limit within the Subdivision, is 40 km per hour. Under no circumstance should anyone be driving over this speed limit.
There are many families who are concerned due to the careless attitude displayed by some people driving at high speeds.
We request your support in this matter and we ask that you as adults and heads of your family, to set a good example for your children when driving.
Help us avoid a major accident.
At the moment, we are pondering the possibility of installing speed bumps on certain areas of the loop; however, in reality, the best solution to the problem is the support of all the resident families.
YOU MAY NOT DRIVE OVER THE 40 KM SPEED LIMIT, FOR ANY REASON.
Please remember, this is the best place to live in Mazatlán, help us to keep it that way… this is YOUR community.
We aim to serve you and your family.
Speed bumps at the Anchor exit.
We have filed a petition with the Municipal Transit Department, in charge of Commander Francisco Guerra, who promised to examine and process this request. This was done due to the difficulty in exiting to the Canseco Avenue, given the speed at which the vehicles are driving; the speed bumps shall provide an advantage to exit with no risk involved. We will keep you informed of the progress in this matter.
The Golf Course.
Once more, we remind you that we must respect our neighbor “The Golf Course”, we should be very aware that the Golf Course areas are exclusive to golf players, the walkways were built for the golf carts, thus avoid damaging the lawn. Likewise, we ask you to convey this matter to your house employees, given that in many occasions they cross over the course field, looking for short-cuts; this not only interrupts the golfers, but it could cause an accident putting themselves at risk of being hit by a ball. About dogs, we also remind you that our “Unión de Colonos” HOA Regulation, only allow the residents to have their pets within the confines of their homes, not on common areas and streets of the development; the Club House, also strictly prohibits having pets on the Golf Course, this subdivision is mostly free of high fences due to its special style which blends with the natural areas of the Course and the Marina, for this reason, loose dogs cause many additional problems.
Children´s Park.
Works commenced to get the area destined to hold this Park, ready for this project which includes a play area and a bicycle lane, green areas as well as parking spaces.
The works to install the camera surveillance system will begin in the month of May, at the end of June we expect to have finished the construction works.
Following, the guidelines for the better use and enjoyment of this park:
The Board of Directors of the “La Unión” (HOA), and its Management, prepared the relevant Regulation which shall be made known in due time.
Security Department Projects for 2019.
As part of the ongoing improvement project we will keep investing in the monitoring, surveillance cameras and taping systems within the subdivision. We have practically covered the gates and road intersections, and we are looking for locations further into the street and/or at the end of it, or towards the Marina and Golf Course wherever possible, the idea is to encompass the largest section possible in order to widen the surveillance range.
The interphone system has proven to be very effective and of great support, as the resident must answer the visitors calls and authorize their entry, all of which remains recorded for further information or clarification.
These projects provide advantages that make us stronger and organized at the same time, but the parallel participation of each and all the residents, given that, investing in technology, training, equipment and strategies implemented by the Surveillance Department, shall never be enough if these mechanisms don´t go hand in hand with the reinforcement of a security awareness attitude all of us should practice. Each and all residents are responsible for their security and should plan their personal and family security measures very well; undoubtedly, we are living through times that require we adopt behaviors and patterns to help us be in a safer position in regard to the crime activities taking place. As we have suggested in past occasions, it´s a good idea to make sure the doors are locked, the windows protected, to install cameras and other devices that may help us be safer. It is also important to report to us any suspicious activity you may notice.
