Dear Resident/ Member of the HOA:

For a long time now, the community in general has been expressing their concern and complaining about the loose dogs roaming about our development. We need the support of everyone.

There are many arguments to discuss regarding the problems a loose dog may cause, but there are two that are of the utmost concern, which are:

  1. There is a lack of consideration towards de Bylaws of our Association, not to mention the provisions concerning the subject dictated by the relevant law.
  1. Many persons have been threatened and endangered by these stray dogs, and this should be prevented.

Furthermore, the Municipal government has asked us to show solidarity by regulating the matter; the City Regulation explicitly articulates that it is “PROHIBITED TO LET ANY ANIMAL ROAM FREE ON PUBLIC SPACES”.

The residents and golfers are asking our help; hence, we are giving notice a penalty shall be imposed on the owners of loose dogs, in these two manners:

  1. Loose dogs accompanied by their owners $500.00 MXN
  2. Unaccompanied loose dogs $1,000.00 MXN.

We have a dog pound to keep your pets for their protection.

In view of the foregoing, the penalties when assessed will be charged to your maintenance dues. We ask you to be responsible and call your attention to this matter. Let’s avoid issues which might be painfully regretted.

José F. Azcona Lizárraga.
